*** important announcement - Please read ***
A while back I stated in the forums, that as leaping hare no longer exists as a workshop, that it would be a good time to close the site. However, we have a good Pagan community mostly from sheffield who attend the moots, and as such it has been decided to close this site, and move the forums to our other site http://www.sheffieldpagans.co.uk
You will also notice that we have merged a few topics together to make the forums more easily to understand. We hope you all continue enjoying the forums and if you are in or near sheffield, please pop to the moot and see us there.
We do realise that not all our posters are from sheffield, and this is ok. As always you are a valued member of our community and we hope you will continue to post on that site. We have modified the site code to redirect you to the new site, if you attempt to view our forums.
Also, I hope everyone has a merry Yule, and I hope to hear form you all soon on the new forums.

When reading tea leaves you will need a white (or pale coloured) teacup & saucer, some loose leaf tea & a teapot.
Warm the teapot & add a teaspoon of tea leaves for every person drinking tea, and one more spoonful 'for the pot'. Then pour hot water (but not boiling) over the leaves & leave to stand for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir the tea (or swirl the pot) 3 times in a clockwise direction & pour into the teacup/s. Before the tea is drunk, look at the surface of it, the pouring of the tea in itself will foretell of coming wealth or company.
Surface bubbles: when the tea is just poured, is there a cluster of bubbles on the surface? This indicates that money is coming.
A floating tea leaf: This is an omen of a letter in the post.
A floating twig: This foretells that you will be receiving a visitor."

I propose to discuss the principles of physical initiation; its meaning, the benefits and why it is so important within the structure of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
The structure of this lecture will be in three distinct sections: firstly I am going to discuss what initiation is, secondly, the process of energy manipulation and transference, and thirdly highlight an aspect of the 0=0 Ceremony based on what we will have discuss to that point.

Fire is all around us if we look carefully, enough, every single spark carry’s the potential for fire, even our bodies hold an electrical charge that can spark. SO even though we’re composed of 70% water we still carry the fire of life within our bodies in the electrical signals that fire through our nerves.

Occult Psychology
The word Psychology is derived from two Greek words, Psyche (mind, soul or spirit) and logos (discourse or study), which put together, produce “study of the mind”.
The appearance of psychology as a subject discipline in its own right is generally dated at 1879, when Wilhelm Wundt opened up the first psychology laboratory, at the University of Leipzig in Germany. Wundt and his colleagues were attempting to investigate the mind through introspection, that is, observing and analysing their own conscious mental processes. They recorded their introspections under controlled conditions. It was this emphasis on measuring and control which really marked the separation of the “new psychology” from its parent discipline of philosophy.

Natural Lip Gloss recipes

with the winter months here i thought these might be nice and useful to help against chapped lips ( be warned tho some are so scrummy you will need to make a skipful cos ya will be licking it back off all day ;) )
Chocolate Lip Gloss
1 1/2 teaspoons grated cocoa butter
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1/8 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil
1/4 teaspoon grated milk chocolate
In a double boiler warm the cocoa butter, coconut oil, chocolate and Vitamin E Oil until melted. Pour into lip gloss container and allow to cool.

This is the combined transcript and handout from Leaping Hare's Air Element Workshop. 16th August 2005.
What is air?
In researching for this workshop, I couldn’t find a better description than the one below. For me, at least, these words encompass what air is.
“It is the gentle breeze of wind, weightless and quick moving. Always in motion, it changes direction at a moment's notice. It comes and goes in and out of our bodies and is our breath. Although it is invisible, it is the carrier of the most powerful psychic sense.... music. Music, harmony, and rhythm are carried to us on the element of air. Air is the carrier of communication and speech, and inspires thought. There is nothing subtler than this element. Our ears, and most importantly our sense of smell, are subtle receptors in a "sea" of air. One of its major properties is its ability to make us think.”
